Hormone regulation begins here

From PMS to painful periods to fertility to menopause, acupuncture and herbal medicine are
It is a myth that your monthly T-rex-is-chomping-on-your-uterus cramps, soak-the-sheets night sweats, and ragey-depressive mood swings are “normal for some women.”
These things are not normal. You do not just “have to suck it up and deal with it.”
Healthy periods are not painful, on-time, and have a moderate, manageable flow.
You DO NOT need to plan your life around being out of commission for a few days every single month.
They are signs that your body is saying, “Hey! Something’s off in here! Help, please!”
How?
Acupuncture and herbal medicine have been regulating female hormones for thousands of years. Acupuncture regulates the nervous system and reminds your body how it was designed to function. Herbs directly and internally regulate hormone balance, are natural painkillers that actually correct the source of the pain and not just mask it, and they can even shrink and dislodge cysts.
How fast does it work?

Usually, you’ll start to see positive changes with your first cycle after treatment, depending on where you are in your cycle. But for these changes to last, we’ll be looking for three normal, healthy periods before backing off acupuncture and herbal treatments. We will constant readjust your treatment plan according to the information your body is giving us, so everyone’s path to regulation and balance looks different.
We are also happy to talk with your doctors so that they are aware of exactly what kind of treatments you’re receiving with us.
I have endometriosis/ovarian or uterine cysts/other physical conditions that are the cause of my pain. Can you still help?
Absolutely. You are in good company and we’ve helped plenty of others in the same boat. Physical changes like this might mean it can take a little longer to reach the status of consistent easy periods, but you can definitely get there with acupuncture and herbs.
Who else have you helped with this?

Let me tell you Taylor’s story (with Taylor’s permission, of course!).
Taylor is in her mid-20’s and had debilitatingly-severe menstrual cramps since age 13. She described missing out on school days and activities and taking sick days off of work frequently because she couldn’t do anything beyond lie in bed at home.
Taylor was put on birth control to manage it, but then she found out the scary way that she has a blood clotting condition that makes it dangerous for her to be on birth control. Without knowing what else to do, she started acupuncture in May of 2022 at another clinic in the state she was living in, and her cycles started to get better.
When she moved to this area several months later, one of the first things she did was continue her care at Bridges. She had her charts sent to us so we could see her history and progression, and we continued her regular treatments and the herbs she had been on, tweaking as she had easier and easier cycles.
Now every month she has “another easy one!” and we’ve been continuing regular care for general health maintenance and a few other mild things that have come up. Taylor said that one month her mom was visiting and couldn't believe it when Taylor said she was on the first day of her period. After years of watching her daughter suffer every month, now Taylor can actually live her life and not spend one of the few precious days her mom had come to visit lying in bed in agony. She said her mom even said, “Who’s your acupuncturist?? I want to hug her!”
In Taylor’s own words, she writes, “You have gifted me with the freedom to enjoy all parts of the month, not worrying about the pain. I am grateful your insight and expertise now inform and grace my life! I lovingly refer to you as my ‘little miracle worker’ to my family and friends!”
